Women under the auspices of Women In Politics Forum (WIPF) has appealed to men to always support their female counterpart in politics.
Hajia Rukayya Mustapha, member police community relations committee kaduna state made the appeal in her keynote address during sensitization for support to women contesting election and women in leadership.
Mustapha also urged women to be mothers with intergrity, “women should feed their unborn children with sacred food during pregnancy”.
She appealed to government at all levels to to refashion the judiciary system, and also empower the youth, “government should empower young people as most of them are jobless.
In her remarks, the commissioner of human service and social development in Kaduna state, Hafsat Mohammed Baba pledges support for girl child education in the state.
“Once a girl is educated, you will understand that the whole nation is educated. The evolution of women start from educational level”.
“We are encouraging and empowering women with knowledge which will help them manage their homes very well and be able to coordinate communities”.
Baba also reiterated that Women should be given right to education, right to health, so that they can be useful members of the society, she said.
Represented by director of youth development in Kaduna state, Maryam Muazu advised women to form association or organization of women within the communities.
Also speaking, the state coordinator WIPF Mercy Abu, appealed to women to always support each other especially women contesting election.
