The Chief Executive Officer of Kada City FC, Kaduna, Honourable Abubakar Adams Ekene has bagged award of excellence from the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU) Youth wing.
Making the presentation at his residence in an occasion that coincided with a movement meeting in solidarity of his political aspiration tagged “Ekene is coming” , the SOKAPU National Youth Leader, Comrade John Isaac who led other members of his executives, said Honourable Ekene’s contributions in the area of Sports and peace building in Southern Kaduna is quite commendable.
He said” We have monitored Honourable Abukabar Adams Ekene’s antecedents and his numerous contributions in Sports, empowerment in Southern Kaduna, hence the award being presented to him today is to encourage him to continue the good works.
“We urge him to continue the good works and touching lives positively, he is being noticed and will certainly be rewarded even beyond this” he said.
It would be recalled that Honourable Ekene contested for House of Representative to represent Chikun/ Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna state in 2019 but was not successful.
Hon. Ekene in his response said, the the award came to him as a surprise and expressed gratitude to SOKAPU youth wing for recognizing his modest contributions politically, through Sports and other areas not only to his immediate constituency but to Southern Kaduna and Kaduna State at large.
He assured that the award will further spur him to continue his good works while soliciting for prayers from all and sundry.
Ekene noted that his quest to represent his constituency in 2019 was to further provide him an opportunity to touch lives positively, stressing that he will always be available for any call to service now or in the future.
He used the opportunity to call on the youths to shun violence,ethnic sentiments, all forms of religious bias and embrace peace for development.
” I want to also enjoin you to support government efforts at entrenching peaceful coexistence for growth and development, for me I will continue to contribute my quarter now and always towards any developmental processes”.
